March 20, 2025, NEW YORK - Evolved is pleased to announce that Zaid Butt, CPA, has been named a Partner in the firm’s tax and advisory services group. Since joining Evolved in 2022, Zaid has has brought a wealth of experience in tax compliance, consulting, and strategic advisory services, working across industries including private equity, software, construction, manufacturing, retail, and financial services.
Zaid’s extensive tax expertise spans federal, state, and local taxation with a particular focus on complex tax structures and planning. He has deep experience advising clients on state and local sales and use tax implications, performing multi-state tax analysis, and reviewing partnership and corporate federal and state tax returns to identify both tax planning opportunities and areas of risk. His practice includes comprehensive tax compliance and consulting for private equity funds and their portfolio companies with a focus on complex partnership allocations as well as federal, state, and local tax compliance for “blockers” and closely held corporations. Zaid also provides expert guidance on corporate structures, entity selection, and tax-efficient strategies to optimize organizational growth and mitigate risk.
In addition to his client advisory work, Zaid is recognized for his ability to navigate intricate tax regulations and implement best practices in tax compliance and planning. Zaid earned his BBA in Accounting from Baruch College and remains an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of CPAs.
